Fewer Than 500 Cases Per Vintage And Limited Availability In The US

Jacques Selosse Millesime is one of the world's most rare and sought-after Champagne. According to Wine-Searcher, there are fewer than 50 cases available globally of these three vintages combined today. Of the existing offers, only the 2008 and 2009 are available in the US for individual bottle purchase, as no full cases are available.

One Of The Most Valuable Champagnes In The World*

According to Wine-Searcher, the Jacques Selosse Millesime is the second most expensive regularly-released Champagne in the world. Behind only the legendary single-vineyard Krug Clos d'Ambonnay, the Jacques Selosse Millesime is the most expensive vintage Champagne and is clamored for by collectors worldwide. *Excludes one-off releases

Unmatched Quality, Global Brand Power, And Cult Status

Often compared to Domaine de la Romanée-Conti and Petrus, the wines of Jacques Selosse were the original "Grower Champagnes." Revolutionizing how Champagne was produced and subsequently perceived, Anselme Selosse was the first winegrower to take a terroir-driven approach to making Champagne and has developed a cult-like following over the years. As Peter Liem puts it in his benchmark book on Champagne, "No winemaker in Champagne is more revered by his followers."

Collection Description

Trained in Burgundy, Anselme Selosse introduced a revolutionary, terroir-focused approach to viticulture and winemaking when he took over the family business in 1980. Over the past four decades, his unique vision of Champagne, since passed on to his son, has created a cadre of devoted fans across the globe who relentlessly compete to acquire the scant number of bottles released each year. With supply insufficient to satiate demand, the fervor caused by Champagne's recent bull market has made the wines of Jacques Selosse even more difficult to acquire. Driven by a market that saw the Liv-Ex Champagne 50 Index grow an impressive +40% in 2021, prices for Selosse wines (across all labels) have increased an average of 68% per year in each of the past three years. This increase in value has led the Jacques Selosse Millesime to rank as the #2 most expensive regularly-produced champagne (not a special edition) in the world, according to Wine-Searcher, and rocketed Selosse from #105 to #36 on the Liv-Ex Brand Power 100. However, in spite of the extreme scarcity and peerless quality, the wines of Selosse are still available at a fraction of the price of other top wines such as DRC and Petrus, with whom they are regularly compared. One reason for this is the fact that the Champagne market has long been dominated by larger producers, houses which have successfully captured a large share of mind and dominated wine list placements throughout the world. Only now, with the booming Champagne market and the emergence of the "Grower Champagne" movement (which has highlighted Champagne made from small producers who also own the vineyards) is the broader market becoming aware of the parallels to rare Burgundy which can be found in the wines of Champagne Jacques Selosse. In sourcing this collection, Vint was able to tap our global network of suppliers to acquire a mini-vertical of three vintages, 2007, 2008, and 2009. This collection is exceedingly rare as currently there are fewer than 50 cases of these three vintages combined throughout the world. There are no bottles of the 2007 available for sale in the United States and only two offers each for both the 2008 and 2009 vintages (according to Wine-Searcher). Combining our sourcing expertise with favorable acquisition costs, this Jacques Selosse collection offers exceptional access to the US wine investor. *As of collection launch
